After updating to version 9.06 of Chrome, I frequently encountered an issue where the “open” command would successfully launch a webpage, but it would not execute the subsequent code. The process would hang until a timeout error occurred after 60 seconds. After restarting, sometimes the subsequent code would run normally, but other times it would still hang at the “open” command line.

Strange. I can not recreate this issue but another user reported the same.
