I have been using imacros since 2008, now that the chrome is not supported i need a new option. I know if need a paid version but struggle to figure out which compares to the entriprise i had with imacros.
i cant seem to figure out how to even do a test recording using ui vision.
willing to pay to be shown how to work this, very happy there is an option out there
I just replied to your email, but let me also reply here. Actually, a forum post is often better than email since it allows us to embed links, screenshots and source code snippets in the answer.
If you plan to migrate from iMacros Enterprise Edition, then the Ui.Vision Enterprise Edition has all the features that you need. It can do everything that iMacros coud do.
We can also assist you to convert the iMacros macros to Ui.Vision. The Ui.Vision Enterprise Edition license includes tech support that can assist you with tips and tricks during the conversion. As an additional service, we also over a full iMacros to Ui.Vision conversion services, billed hourly.
Thank you i replied to your email with a sample macro we use daily. before we spend $1999 is there a way to do a text recording of a website we use (such as the one i sent you) and play it back with the data from our csv. if you have a gettting started video that would be great i played with the extension but cant seem to get it to record the fields on the website. Im sure it is super easy once we get going…its just figuring it out that first time

I am stuck, i have downloaded the xmodule but when i click record it says the following
Recording is only available for browser automation. Desktop automation macros are created by adding XClick and other visual commands step by step.
I understand your confusion now, since you are a long time iMacros user: iMacros does not have a desktop automation mode at all! iMacros supports only web automation.
When in Browser Mode, Ui.Vision works like iMacros, including recording. For your purposes just ignore the desktop automation feature.
In desktop mode recording is not supported. So if you would need to automate a desktop app (e. g. Microsoft Word or automate a browser extension itself), then you need to build the macro step by step by using the computer-vision XClick and the text-recogntion XClickText commands.
But from your emails I know that you need to automate a regular website.
→ So the solution is to switch from desktop automation mode to web automation mode.
How to switch to Browser Automation (this enables macro recording):
just trying to figure out how i can edit a macro after recording it to add the columns and rows from my csv. I think it would be easier to just pay for a session with someone there, .we are quick learners as we picked up imacros in just a session, but we are visual learners and reading from written directions seems to be diffucult for us to figure out how to use this in our business. can you set up a a day and time to do a 1 -2 hour session. i think an hour will be plenty but 2 might be best just to be sure we understand the features. just pick a day and time that works for you and we will make sure we make it happen.
Ui.Vision always stores data locally, never in the cloud.
By default, the data is stored in the browser extension itself. The PRO and Enterprise Edition also support storage directly on the hard-drive. To my knowledge, that works exactly the same as with iMacros. But Ui.Vision supports this on Windows, Mac and Linux. iMacros only on Windows.
Consulting session: Tech support will get back to you about this.
still have not heard from tech support on a time and day we can do a paid training. can you help us get on the schedule this week, we really want to move forward with the product just need to know how to use it to fit our needs
that would be great. We have goto assist where we can do a session and let you watch our screen or watch your screen, or i have zoom. We have been using Iopus since 2007 and we have over 500 macros that we use with different companies. I dont think this will be hard to teach us but we dont want to waste time trying to figure it out ourselves. not sure why i cant get tech support to give us a session, they have been saying for over 10 days they would do a paid training. can you private message me here so we can figure out how to do a session and what fees you would like. Thank you again for stepping up to help us out, very appreciated. Stacy
Hi Stacy, sorry for the delay. Tech support has been incredibly busy the past few weeks and this makes it difficult to find a two hour slot for a remote training session. We have had to prioritize remote sessions for our existing Enterprise users.
Once you become an Enterprise license user, you’ll appreicate that we focus on supporting our current customers before onboarding new ones.
That being said, if you can find a third-party resource like @uiuser to assist you, that would be perfectly fine with us. Should you encounter a specific or complex issue, please do not hesitate post it in the forum or email us directly. Tech Support via email and forum is much faster than scheduling a remote session.
I have used Kantu for several years now (it’s my world now, supporting my company with tons of automations) and switched over from iMacro many years ago. I do not remember too much about iMacro but I can help you with Kantu if you have any future questions.
Good news is, there is a lot you can do with javascript but you definitely should also look xPath expression to target HTML elements.
Go with uiuser first and then I can help you from there if you have any questions.
Unfortunately I will be on PTO for a couple of weeks to the end of March. But should be more available after.
