the xmodules do not show as installed after success return from 1Install. all extracted xmodule files are executable.
Any suggestions? maybe i should try firefox

Thanks for the useful feedback. It seems the issue is with Chromium, which we not yet officially support. If you use the regular Google Chrome on Ubuntu instead, the XModules will be detected ok.
