The new updates bring significant replay speed improvements for all commands but especially CLICK, TYPE and SELECT are now much faster.
The performance tweaks apply to all !replayspeed settings, including nodisplay, fast, medium, slow.
Naturally, the built-in delays for the medium and slow options (0.5s and 2s, respectively) mask any performance optimizations 
However, from a code perspective, all speeds now follow the same new logic.
