Prompted to select files

i want to get prompted to enter some text and to select a file upon starting the script and use them later on in the script is there a way i can achieve that and have it run on any machine
I would appreciate any help

The PROMPT command can do this.

so what about a file like an image for example

you can specify image full path

i dont want it to be hard coded i want to be able to use it on different machines

File selection through dialog box is not possible

You have to take full path as input
