Logon macro opens in French instead of English

We have a macro that logs in to PeopleSoft. It works fine until today when I saw something unusual.

I watched a user login to PeopleSoft manually and the language option defaults to English. However, when she runs out macro, the language option defaults to French. This causes the macro to fail as it looks for specific English words.

I’m going to update the login macro to select English to resolve the problem.

However, I was wondering why “French” is the default language option when we use the login macro? It is really strange behavior.

This sounds mysterious. If you have a test macro, we can test it here.

But maybe the user had selected French before, and the websites picks up a cookie with this setting?

I modified the logon macro to always select English. This works and seemed to be the path of least resistance. Thanks for your help…
