Hello UI.Vision Support Team,
I am experiencing a severe issue where all dynamic commands that rely on XModules are failing with a “not supported yet” error, despite the modules being correctly installed and up-to-date. This block is preventing all forms of dynamic PDF and desktop automation on my machine.
1. System & Installation Details
-
RPA Version: UI.Vision RPA IDE 9.5.9
-
Operating System: Windows 11
-
XModule Status: All three XModules (Desktop Automation, FileAccess, RealUser) are installed and up-to-date.
-
AI Connection: My Anthropic API key is confirmed working via the built-in test.
2. Specific Failure Evidence
Every dynamic command fails immediately with the same root cause:
| Command Tested | Exact Error Received |
|---|---|
Visual Commands (screenshot, OCRExtract, etc.) |
Command screenshot not supported yet |
File Reading Command (fileRead) |
Command fileRead not supported yet |
3. Troubleshooting Steps Taken
-
Run as Administrator: I have closed the browser and relaunched it using “Run as administrator.” The errors persist.
-
Module Test: The built-in Test button for the XModules fails (it does not complete successfully).
I believe this is a deeper security/policy block (firewall or antivirus) on my Windows system that is preventing the XModule executable (uivision-rpa-xmodules.exe) from communicating or performing its functions.
Can you please provide specific instructions on how to properly whitelist the XModule executable or advise on which Windows security policies might be blocking both file access and screen capture functions simultaneously?
Thank you for your help.
