https://books-pwakit.appspot.com/ is really tricky. I tried recording a macro with Selenium IDE and iMacros, and both did not record the user input.
UI Vision also does not record it with standard Selenium commands (as you reported) either. But what works is automating the website with XClick and XType (no explicit desktop mode needed).
I wanted to know if there is option in normal mode
Xclick with image will do the entry.
