Ubuntu: XModule does not show as installed on Firefox, works in Chrome

Summary of known Firefox issues on Ubuntu 24.04:

All browser automation that does not need the XModules works fine in Firefox, too. But there are some XModules related problems:

  • Regular Firefox V138: Computer Vision XModule not found
  • Firefox 128 ESR (Extended Release): All XModules detected ok, but XModules mouse clicks are not executed.

These bugs are Firefox specific. :point_right: So for now, please use Chrome on Ubuntu for RPA automation.

:point_right: Alternatively, if you want to use Firefox, you can use the older Ubuntu 20.04 LTS (Focal Fossa), everything works fine there.
