We are sorry about this. Our free OCR API is experiencing a high demand and thus is sometimes overloaded. This is the cause for slower response times than usual. We are adding new servers soon, and that will solve this issue.
The PRO/PRO PDF endpoints run on different machines and are not affected by this issue.
