Seeshell Scripting for Community Edition ? Which language to use for putting any condition or to fetch system date

Hi All , I am trying to know like how do we use any language like Python to write the if else condition in SeeShell Community Edition.
I am doing desktop automation in which I have some conditions to give and pass the current date . Can you please help me understand how can I write this conditional code in see Shell using Python (or any other language)
