Run embedded macros from public websites" resets every browser/computer restart

Hi UI.Vision team,

We use UI.Vision RPA (browser extension only, no desktop automation module) to trigger macros from a button on our internal fulfilment website. The macros open a council website in a new tab and automate certificate ordering via a checkout.

Setup:

  • Extension installed, “Allow access to file URLs” enabled
  • Settings > API > “Run embedded macros from public websites” enabled, with our company site added to the whitelist

Issue: every time a team member closes/restarts Chrome (or restarts their computer), the “Run embedded macros from public websites” checkbox reverts to unticked, breaking the fulfilment automation until someone manually re-enables it. This begun after the installing the latest version update.

Questions:

  1. Is this reset intentional (a security measure, given allowRunFromHttpSchema controls whether any page can trigger saved macros), or a bug?
  2. Is there a supported way to make this setting persist for a trusted, whitelisted internal site without re-enabling it every session?
  3. Is there a recommended alternative invocation method (e.g. command-line API or the MCP bridge) that avoids relying on this toggle for a production business workflow like ours?

Happy to provide more detail (extension version, OS, macro structure) if useful.

Thanks,
Peter

Issue fixed with V10.0.278. Thank you for reporting this issue!
